New Car!

We've bought a new car. It's only a fiesta but I'm really excited anyway! Don't get the car till Tuesday though, I can't wait.

Dr Who

They were filming Dr Who outside Ross' Work the other day. I'm surprised Ross didn't explode with excitment! He didn't though and even managed to write about it and get it published on Outpost Gallifrey. If you want to read all about it visit Ross' Blog.

Still Not Asleep!

I'm having real sleep issues at the moment, in that i'm not getting any! It's really boring being up all night! I'm going to see a heavily pregnant Tracy tomorrow though. Her baby's due any time now, ETA next monday. I'm very excited. Isn't it time the rest of you buggers had kids now too?

Soweto Walk

On Sunday Bili, Steve and I did a 10 mile sponsored walk with members of ACTSA Cymru (successor organisation to The Wales Anti-Apartheid Movement) as part of a major fund raising campaign to assist educational campaigns in South Africa. The money raised from this walk will go to Dube High School in the sprawling township of Kwa Mashu in Durban to furbish the school with items such as stationery, lab equipment, desks, basic sanitation equipment etc. This year marks 30 years since the Soweto Massacre of hundreds of African school children in June 1976 and this walk was organised in remembrance.

Anyway, political rant over with. The walk itself was lovely. It started from St Donats Castle and we all stopped in the pub half way through. Subsequently Steve and I walked the second half pissed! It was a good laugh, especially me falling down a hill with bottle of Bud in my hand!

Brighton

We all went to Brighton for Rosie and Lee's wedding on the 13th of May. It was a lovely weekend and fantastic that such a wonderful and loving couple can finally share the same rights as any heterosexual couple.
